Je suis Sophia, the first French PhD student in the Hevia group!

After a nursing degree, I decided to resume my studies and earned a BSc in Chemistryfrom the Université de Versailles. I then enrolledin the double degree program of Chimie ParisTech and earned in 2020,aM.Sc. in Chemical science and Engineering from Chimie ParisTech and aM.Sc. in Molecular chemistry fromUPMC, Sorbonne Université.

During my studies, I completed internships both in academia and industry. In 2020, I completed my master's thesis in medicinal chemistryat Sanofi R&D.In 2019, I completed a five months internship in the Knochel group (LMU Munich) where Idiscoveredorganometallic chemistry. In 2017, I interned at Pr Couty's organic laboratory (CNRS – Versailles).

I joined the Hevia group in Bern in Fall 2020 to carry out my PhD and further my interest in organometallic chemistry.

In my spare time, I love to dance, bake (France is known for its boulangeries and patisseries afterall), and read thrillers.
