Born and raised in Glasgow, I also decided to study chemistry in my hometown at the University of Strathclyde. During this time, I completed an Industrial placement for one year at Bayer CropScience in Frankfurt and completed my master’s thesis exploring the alkali metal effects in Trans-Metal-Trapping. I then decided to follow Prof. Hevia from Strathclyde University to the University of Bern in Switzerland to carry out my PhD and further my interest in main group organometallic chemistry. In my spare time I love following my football team Glasgow Celtic, playing various sports to keep fit, travelling and spending quality time with my friends and family.
