I graduated in 2016 at the Philipps-University of Marburg conducting research in the group of Prof. Carsten von Hänisch. In the same group I then stayed for my phD working on siloxanes, their coordination chemistry as well as templated synthesis for the generation of inorganic crown-ethers. I finished in late 2020 during the global pandemics and joined the group of Dr. Christian Hering-Junghans at the Leibniz-Institute for catalysis (LIKAT) in Rostock for my first post-doc. My research there was related to small molecule activation as well as main-group multiple bonding employing phospha-Wittig reagents. After 13 months at LIKAT, I joined the group of Prof. Dr. Dominik Munz in Saarbrücken for a second post-doc where I was working on P-based diazo compounds as well as computational chemistry. In February 2023, I finally moved to Bern and joined the Hevia group for a third post-doc to work on s-/p-block bimetallics for small molecule activation. Outside the lab, I enjoy watching (and playing!) American Football, tinkering with Gin&Tonic and keeping fit going for a run, hike or basically working out.
